At the end of Bite Me, I share focus wheel and written intention exercises that are powerful spiritual tools that help me beat Lyme, and that you can use to help manifest anything you want too! First, let’s go over focus wheels.

The focus wheel is based on Sheila Bath’s reinterpretation of the Abraham-Hicks’ teachings on the Law of Attraction, which I’ve adapted here. It’s called a focus wheel because you can choose any topic to focus on, whether you are looking for health and recovery from Lyme, to body image and self-esteem, to finding a partner, it can be whatever you want!

All you need to make a focus wheel is a little time, faith, a pad and pencil.

FW1 Page 3

Here is an example of a focus wheel I made and shared at a talk I gave, as well as a blank template you can use to print or model after your own.

  1. Print your focus wheel template, or draw your own. You can think of it as a sun. There should be a circle in the center with 12 sunburst rays coming out.
  2. At the top of the page, write today’s date.
  3. Next, write, “I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING IN MY LIFE!!!” Then, “I am so grateful to [the universe, God, higher power, the ocean, energy—whatever you want]”.
  4. Then, write, “Today is the best day of in my life so far and it is so” (or you can choose to focus on the whole year, upcoming week or month, etc).
  6. Next, write, 12 statements alternating between “I love it when…” and “I love that…”

Use my focus wheel on health as an example. These statements are written in the present tense (even if they haven’t happened yet) because you have to pretend a little, and ALWAYS STAY IN THE POSITIVE in order to manifest what you want. Rather than using language like, “I hate that I’m always tired,” you have to figure out how to turn those things into positive by thinking “I love that I am always well rested.”

Now, let’s go over Written Intentions. This exercise is really fun because you can go on and on and put in as many details as possible, which for these, is important to do. The more specific you can be, the better!

  1. On a blank page, write the date at the top of the page.
  2. Then write five things you are grateful for.
  3. Next, write five intentions you want to create for your life, starting with “I INTEND AND CREATE NOW…”

This exercise may seem silly, or ridiculous, especially when you’re in a rut, but if you force your pen to the page and get out of yourself, your whole mood will transform before your eyes.

  1. My family
  2. My health
  3. My home
  4. Having love surrounding me always
  5. My close supportive friends
  1. I INTEND AND CREATE NOW that the home that we find is under our budget, airy, light, clean, safe for the children, private, beautiful, will fit all of our furniture and belongings, feels calm and peaceful. May our new home be white with blue shutters, and have land to have a garden big enough to grow seven different types of vegetables and fruit, too. May the soil be rich and healthy. There is enough room for our family vehicles. My family and I are always healthy and happy within our property.
  1. I INTEND AND CREATE NOW that the man of my dreams is available, single, taller than I, has a job, a good honest family with good morals and values, funny, adventurous, fun to be around, creative easy to talk to, gets along with all my friends and family, is supportive, compassionate, empathetic, understanding, on the same wavelength as I am, very handsome, amazing in bed, has perfect chemistry with me, has great taste that is on par with my own, has his goals in a similar directions as I, lives near me, has healthy feelings toward being committed and wanting a family, is very healthy physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally.
  1. I INTEND AND CREATE NOW that I feel healthy and productive.
  1. I INTEND AND CREATE NOW to accomplish all that I set out to do today and feel great for it.
  1. I INTEND AND CREATE NOW to travel and see all parts of this beautiful world-.

And that’s it! Now close your eyes and go about your day. See what happens. See what your mindset is like.

I would love to see your own focus wheels and written intentions. Share them on social and tag me @allyhilfiger!

Living bi-coastal, I’m on airplanes every other week, which can sometimes be a drain. So in this week’s #WhatsInMyToolbox, I share a simple detox bath recipe, which I do after every flight.

  • Combine 2 cups of sea salt, 3/4 cup of baking soda, and 2 table spoons of hydrogen peroxide into a hot filled bath
  • Soak for 15 minutes, maybe enjoy a nice book and have a glass of wine while you’re at it
  • Drain your bath, take a shower, wash your hair, and feel like a new person!
  • Also feel free to add a drop of your favorite essential oil for added relaxation and enjoyment.

Happy relaxing!

In this week’s #WhatsInMyToolBox, I share my favorite immunity boosting ingredients to keep you healthy and strong, especially when you’re going through a cold or the flu.

Lemon – This citrus is packed with Vitamin C and antioxidants, as well as balancing the PH levels in your body. Just squeeze into your water!

Garlic – A major immune booster! Used for centuries for its antiviral and antifungal properties, garlic also reduces cholesterol and naturally lowers your blood pressure. Try adding some raw garlic to your favorite salad dressing.

Cinnamon – A tasty way to stimulate your immune system, cinnamon prevents blood platelet clumping and is anti-inflammatory. It has also been known to increase brain function and alertness!

Ginger – Known for treating nausea, ginger is also anti-inflammatory, antiviral and antifungal, and improves circulation.

Turmeric – This super spice contains the cucurmin compound which is anti-inflammatory. Great for those with arthritis or joint problems. Add it to fresh ginger tea when feeling under the weather, and it is guaranteed to charge you up.

Also, try this healing tea receipt when you feel that little tickle in the back of your throat. In a medium pot on the stove, combine:

  • 6 cups filtered water
  • 5 tablespoons of grated fresh ginger
  • 4 tablespoons of grated fresh tumeric root (powdered can be used as well)
  • 3 crushed cloves of garlic
  • 2 lemons sliced and squeezed (throw the lemon rines in there too)
  • ⅓ cup of honey

Boil and sip on through the day!

What are some of your favorite immunity boosting foods and recipes?

In this week’s #WhatsInMyToolBox, I’m sharing an easy recipe for a body scrub I use to help me relax when I’ve had a long day or am feeling a little dull..

All you need to do is combine salt, brown sugar, olive oil, eucalyptus oil, and peppermint oil in a bowl, then scrub, and wash away! The tingly sensation and aroma of the oils will soothe and refresh you, giving you a boost of positivity, while the coarse ingredients will exfoliate the dead skin off your body. I love to use this before I shave my legs because it makes them feel extra silky smooth.

Hope you give it a try!

And what home remedies are in your toolbox that help you relax and feel fabulous?

It’s official. I’m engaged! Read the announcement on People.

by Ally Hilfiger

I believe everyone should have their own toolbox!

We all have things that make us feel better when we’re not so good, but sometimes we forget. By having a physical toolbox around and getting into the mindset of “collecting” your “tools” to put inside, you’ll never forget how to access them.

My first #WhatsInMyToolbox post is all about raising your vibration.

We are all made up of vibrational energy. We have a control over how we can raise or lower that vibration. I choose to raise mine so that I can feel magnificent and well mentally, physically and spiritually.

Here are some tools to help me do this:

Young Living Essential Oils – These are some of the purest and most potent oils I have ever found. Each oil has a different healing function both physically and even emotionally! The way they harvest their oils is very sacred as well. I use Thieves to clean my house, and put it on my feet when I travel for my immune system. Sacred Mountain makes me feel grounded and strong, while Purification helps when I feel stuck both mentally and physically.

Palo Santo – I love the smell of Palo Santo. I burn in when I want to make my house feel calm and whole.

Sage – Sage can be used in so many different ways. I burn it underneath my feet, and around all the entrances in my home as well as corners. Always make sure to open windows to let any icky energy out!

Healing Crystals – I sleep with a rose crystal next to my bed when I feel ill. It is so healing if I am under the weather. I carry amethyst if I need to let information flow out of me for different appearances. I take lapus with me for protection, and I carry the black turmaline to absorb any negative energy around me.

I’m excited to keep share things that help me, and find out about the things that help all of you! Show me what’s in your toolbox by sharing to social and tagging #WhatsInMyToolbox.

BE MAGNIFICENT: Meet Dr. Ellyn Shander

by Ally Hilfiger

I would love to introduce you to the incredible Dr. Ellyn Shander, who saved my life more than once! She saw through what many other doctors had not been able to detect and gave me help, hope, guidance, answers, and strength. If it was not for Dr. Shander recognizing that I had Lyme disease, I might not be alive today. She also helped me heal in four different very crucial levels: physically, emotionally, spiritually, and transformative into survivor and then warrior. She matured me and guided me into being a magnificent woman who has been able to grasp my deepest inner strength. I am forever grateful for Dr. Shander and our eternal bond.

Dr. Shander is one of the doctors who wrote the epilogue to #BiteMeTheBook. She leads free meditation sessions on her website. Go check her out!
